FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
What does FunnelStatus do?
FunnelStatus monitors critical user journeys automatically.
You record a funnel once using the visual builder, and it is replayed on a schedule to detect failures in key steps.
What kind of funnels can I monitor?
Any multi-step browser-based flow, including signup journeys, form submissions, onboarding flows, login paths, and other conversion-related user journeys.
Do I need to write code?
No. Funnels are captured step by step as you navigate.
No scripting or test framework is required.
How are failures detected?
Each run replays your funnel step by step.
If a step cannot be completed or behaves unexpectedly, the run fails and an alert is triggered.
What alerts are supported?
Email alerts are sent when a run fails.
Recipients can be configured per funnel, and throttling helps prevent repeated alerts for ongoing issues.
Can agencies use this?
Yes. Plans support multiple domains and funnels, making it suitable for teams managing multiple sites or clients.
Does it work on desktop and mobile?
Funnels can be run in both desktop and mobile viewports.
This helps identify issues that only appear on specific device types.
Does FunnelStatus fix issues automatically?
No. FunnelStatus monitors and alerts on issues but does not modify or control your systems or third-party services.
Can FunnelStatus monitor checkout or purchase flows?
Yes, on platforms that skip payment for zero-value orders. Apply a 100% off coupon to bring the order total to zero - if your platform does not require card entry at that point, FunnelStatus can replay the full checkout automatically.
The coupon should be configured so it cannot cause actual fulfilment: use it only with a product or variant marked as requiring no shipping or fulfilment, so no physical order is ever triggered by a monitoring run.
Can I route alerts into n8n or Zapier?
Yes. Alert emails can be sent to any email address, including a dedicated inbox you create for automation.
Point that inbox at n8n or Zapier using an email trigger (Gmail, Mailparser, or similar). When a failure alert arrives, your workflow can post to Slack, open a support ticket, send an SMS, or take any other action your stack supports.
How do I stop test runs polluting my CRM or analytics?
Use a dedicated email address for FunnelStatus test submissions - a dedicated alias or a throwaway inbox works well. Then set up an exclusion rule in your CRM or ecommerce platform to tag, suppress, or auto-delete contacts and orders from that address.
Most platforms support this directly: HubSpot allows suppression lists and active list filters; Salesforce supports assignment rules with exclusion criteria; Shopify and WooCommerce both support order filtering by customer email. These rules keep monitoring traffic out of your real leads and sales data.
